MSc Research Seeks Veterans' Input on Construction Career Transition
MSc Research Seeks Veterans' Input on Construction Career Transition.
Project RECCE is supporting groundbreaking research into military-to-construction career transitions, led by Portsmouth University MSc student Paul Goodwin. The study aims to identify challenges and opportunities for veterans entering the construction sector.
"With the construction industry facing skills shortages and veterans offering valuable transferable skills, this research comes at a crucial time," says Neil Houlihan, CEO of Project RECCE. "Understanding the transition journey is vital for improving support systems."
The research builds on Project RECCE's success in veteran recruitment, which has seen remarkable growth from inceptoin in 2015 to 2025. This growth reflects the increasing recognition of veterans' value in construction (and other) roles.
